Benidorm holidays in Spain are the best yet, offering great sparkling waters, amazing climate,  and wonderfully alive streets. The resort consists of 5 km length of beaches, lots of places to eat and drink, great culture and a lot more surprises. This leisure and holiday destination is one of the largest and most vibrant resorts in the world. The location is especially popular with British people and families who want to seek a holiday destination.

Before the 1960s, Benidorm was basically a little village. These days, however, the onetime little village has grown into a beautiful tourist focused luxury filled with high-intensity nightlife. With many bars and night clubs along with a karaoke, there is no doubt about the endless entertainment possibilities.

History

The Benidorm area goes back as far as 3000 BCE, where the Romans and Punics were expected to stay. The local population only began to grow upon the arrival of the Moors (Arabic). A Christian king later, however, regained control of the region. For the next few centuries, Benidorm was attacked from the sea by the Ottomans and Barbary pirates. From the 17th century onwards, a lot of improvements started happening within the area, including the construction of an advanced irrigation system.

Currently, Benidorm is Spain and Europe’s biggest holiday destination and resort and contributes largely to the tourism industry of Spain. Every year, around five million tourists visit the resort.
